So I thought I would share with everyone today my MAC palette, one of my favourite items in my make-up drawer! With all the hype around so many new palettes lately (cough Naked cough Clinique cough Nars) it's easy forget the old faithfuls, and my custom MAC palette is one of those.

This palette is actually quite new in my life, I purchased it about midway through 2013, but it never had any pans in it until my New York trip in October. When there's a $16 difference between Australian MAC and American MAC products...you wait. So I waited, and overwhelmed the sales assistant with my enormous list of MAC things I wanted, including these 14 colours!

I bought my first MAC eye shadow a few years ago, 'Expresso' for a brown smokey eye, although I now mostly use this for my brows. I am just always so impressed with their quality, the pigmentation is perfect and the colour range is just...exciting. I love perusing their displays whenever I'm in a MAC shop!

My most used colours would probably be 'Woodwinked', 'All That Glitters', 'Sketch' and 'Mulch', but I LOVE 'Cranberry' and 'Coppering' and get so excited when I have an occasion to wear them. Honestly though, I get such wear out of all of these colours. There's so many great neutrals that I use for blending, like 'Omega' and 'Satin Taupe' and colours like 'Smut' and 'Carbon' come in handy for darker smoky eyes.

I still have to depot 'Club', 'Texture', and 'Expresso' and I'm also thinking of purchasing a quad palette, for my more everyday colours so I don't have to crack out the big palette each time.

Do you have any MAC eye shadows? If not, which colours would you love to own?

  1. I've been recently wanted to buy a MAC 30 palette. My cousin told me it costs around $10 for the actually palette holder, and ten $11 for each shade. I think one side completely neutral and the other side filled with random, bright colors will look lovely.

These are the colors I have in mind:
    Soft Brown *
    Orb *
    All that Glitters *
    Espresso *
    Rice Paper *
    Handwritten *
    Wedge *
    Omega *
    Honey Lust *
    Bamboo *
    Era *
    Grain *
    Haux *
    Embark *
    Swiss Chocolate *

  2. Oh I feel you girl, $16 is a biggie. And I'm sure a lot of Aussies go crazy in the US, especially when it's almost half the price! Loving your palette!

  3. I've never been sure whether MAC palettes and shadows were worth it, but some of these colours are too good to resist x

  4. I love MAC eyeshadows. I only have 2 put into a palette, but I have single ones as well and I love them!

  5. I adore MAC eyeshadows and I currently have five slots filled in my fifteen pan palette. My absolute favourite is Patina but Woodwinked is a close favourite as well.
