Wowww, June has come and gone, I can't believe it! I'm officially longing for warm, long summer days as I sit here with freezing toes and three jumpers on, looking outside into the dark miserably, and wondering how it can possibly be dark at five in the afternoon (I never seem to get used to the short days in winter...?). With this month comes with a few of my usual winter favourites - dewy skin with dark features!

When it comes to winter skin, I want radiance and dewyness to counteract my horrible, dull winter skin. If I'm going to be pale and colourless, I'm at least going to make it look amazing and fresh! I always, always reach for my Laura Mercier Radiance Primer, summer or winter, but especially in winter. There is no shimmer, but a ton of GLOW, and that's exactly what I want! This month I have been pairing it with my new favourite - the newly released, newly reformulated Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation, now the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Photo Edition Foundation. Of course I had to get my hands on this when it came out - the original is my HG of foundations, and this new improved formula is even better. More hydrating, and therefore more of a dewy finish. Perfection.

Going back to an old favourite, I've been adding colour back in my face using the NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna, as it is the perfect tone for my fairer complexion. Just enough to rediscover my missing cheekbones, and add a bit of colour around the hairline. I've never been good at contouring - I'll leave that to the pro's.

I've mentioned the Stila Eyes Are The Window palettes a few times on this blog - I own three, that's how much I love them. This month I've been using the Eyes Are The Window in Spirit quite a lot, in particular that burgundy colour in the top right corner. I pair it with the By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Brown Perfection - this acts as a great base (it's super long lasting) and it gives the burgundy colour a bit more depth. I've been bringing both of these colours much lower down on the lash line as well, in an attempt to do that cool, grungy smokey eye. I haven't succeeded in walking out the door like that yet, but baby steps.

To finish off, one of my all time favourite lip products - the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick. Pictured are Aria (the deep, berry colour) and Bellissima (a very nude, peachy colour). I love these lipsticks for their longevity - they literally Stay All Day. I ate spaghetti at lunch and still didn't need to reapply. You can drink and not leave a mark on the glass, it's amazing. The colours are so pigmented too, and my favourite thing about them is that even if you have dry lips, you can still wear these and no one will know. They are slightly drying, as any matte lipstick is, but when you apply it, it seems to cover any dryness, and almost camouflage it. Great for my poor dry, winter lips!

I thought I should give an honourable mention to Yen magazine too. It's a magazine I've read for years, as I love that they cover art, fashion, music and entertainment that appeals to me, and some really great and interesting articles to read too. I've gone a bit off magazine buying the past year as I seem to have trouble sitting down and reading one (I still have a pile I'm waiting to get through), but when I saw this cover I had to give in. For anyone who used to love Frankie magazine (back when it was actually good, sad face) you might enjoy Yen. It's a bit more grown up, but it's still fun and pretty to look at!

What have you been enjoying this month? Anyone in the Northern Hemisphere, please do not tease me with your warm weather stories. I miss summer!
